Cottagecore is the nostalgia-ridden aesthetic that you have probably seen flooding your social media feeds. The movement's following was sparked by a common desire to escape the world we currently live in. The romanticised lifestyle offers a return to nature, manifested in flowing, prairie-style silhouettes, old-world crafts and bucolic scenes of a life lived in the countryside.
The fashion subculture offered a soothing escape from the cacophony of modern-day life, where slipping into sweeping gingham dress and baking sourdough bread could transport someone to another time and place entirely.

Following the year that was, we too found ourselves longing for an escape, dreaming of the the quaint and familiar notions of the countryside as a form of relief from all of the noise around us.
Set in the lush, Australian hinterland in a quaint cabin in the woods, Libre calls us to a slower, and quieter place, inspired by the creativity and freedom that solitude brings.
It was these dreams of the countryside, the solace that Cottagecore brought to so many during this time that inspired our latest collection, Libre Autumn 21.

Inspired by the Cottagecore movement, the collection fuses billowy, prairie-style silhouettes, picnic-beckoning ginghams, vintage relics and lulling pastels to create an enchanting mix of old and new, reflecting this wonder-filled season of change and transition.
