We put the spotlight on Perth-born, Byron Bay-based globe trotter, Olive Cooke.
Olive’s free-spirited life is documented across her social media platforms.
She inspires us as a resident #steeleGIRL to pursue the unknown with an open mind and heart. Not one for the beaten track, Olive shares what it takes to make a life well lived.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY IN THE LIFE FOR YOU?
Wake up, Coffee, Swim… not necessarily in that order.
WHAT CALLED YOU TO START TRAVELLING THE GLOBE?
I have always had an appetite for exploration. I have a suspicion my dear mama decided this for me, she raised me with the belief that is it so important to experience and respect different cultures, religions and ways of life. Travel is possibly the best, if not the only way, to do such a thing
WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE PART OF TRAVELLING?
Food. When it’s good, it’s that “next-level-mind-blowing-what-dreams-are-made-of” feeling. If it’s bad, it’s real bad
IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE YOU WOULD BE..
The Bahamas, swimming with the pigs – after exploring the Pyramids of Egypt, of course.
WHERE DO YOU LOOK FOR INSPIRATION?
The outdoors, people and attitudes, flora and fauna.
WHAT MAKES YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
My ultimate style muse has always been Erin Wasson. My go-to pieces are the simplest of cotton or linen tee’s and my trusty old Levi’s. My Gucci slippers are a must or my hilarious plastic bunny rabbit slides I stole from a hotel I was staying at in Malaysia.
